During the course of the past seventy-six years, The Krewe of Thoth has been an integral part of New Orleans Mardi Gras and will continue to provide residents and visitors to the city with a first-class parade on the second Sunday of Carnival.
The founders of Thoth had the vision to be part of carnival and more importantly, a community contributor. With this focus in mind, Thoth Charities was established in 2014. Thoth charities' mission is to serve the sick, shut-in, and homeless in the metropolitan New Orleans area. Since its inception, Thoth Charities has made charitable contributions in excess of $500,000. In addition to the $500,000 in direct donations, Thoth Charities is proud to have worked as an advocate for Children's Hospital in obtaining a donation of $250,000 for the construction of an emergency room for their new Behavioral Health Center in 2020. This donation was made through the Bartholomew Family Foundation due to the generosity of Mark and Kim Bartholomew.
